Meet our Certified Physician’s Assistant

Maia M. Wolf, PA-C

Maia is excited to be a part of the orthopedic and sports medicine team at Juneau Bone & Joint Center. She has lived in Juneau for most of her adult life and completed her physician assistant training through the University of Washington MEDEX Northwest program in Anchorage.

At JBJC, Maia evaluates and treats a wide range of orthopedic conditions and acute sports injuries involving the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, hips, knees, ankles, and other major joints. She helps patients understand their injuries, develop a treatment plan, and determine when a surgical consultation may be appropriate. Maia also performs joint and musculoskeletal injections and works closely with JBJC’s orthopedic surgeons to help patients move efficiently through their care.

Maia regularly assists our surgeons in the operating room—one of her favorite parts of orthopedic medicine—which gives her a unique perspective when helping patients understand both surgical and non-surgical treatment options.

Outside of medicine, Maia enjoys running, Nordic skiing, kayaking, and exploring the beaches and forests of Southeast Alaska. She is grateful to care for the community she calls home and enjoys helping her patients get back to the activities, sports, work, and everyday life they love.

Maia is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
